BTTF Headcanons

DISCLAIMER: These are all just headcanons that are in no way canon, and may even contradict canon. I am not in any way affiliated with Robert Zimeckis or Bob Gale. I’m just doing this for fun and to share my interpretations of these characters I love so much.

Headcanons

Marty

Marty's birthday is June 12, 1968.
He has ADHD.
He is bisexual.
His best subjects are the humanities: English, History, Art, and Music.
He struggles the most with Math and Science.
He's good at dodgeball (mostly in the dodging department), decent at baseball (it's in his genes), but absolutely terrible at basketball.
He is absolutely a big brother to Jules and Verne. The Browns are his found family.
When they first started dating, Marty introduced Jennifer to Doc before he introduced her to his own parents.
After backing out of the drag race with Needles, he tells Jennifer everything he's been through with all the time traveling he's done.
He had a mullet in the 90's (a la Joe Rasnick in Light of Day).
After his trip through time, he came back with a lot of musical inspiration for his band, The Pinheads. Their style is a mix of punk rock and 50's rockabilly.

One of their biggest successes was a concept album loosely based off the events of the movie trilogy. It was titled Spaceman from Pluto.

The Pinheads performed at Woodstock '94 on the north stage on Sunday.
When Marlene and Marty Jr. were little, Marty would take them to band practice with him.
In the original Lone Pine 2015, Marty and Jennifer end up getting a divorce. In the Eastwood Ravine 2015, they do not.

Jennifer

Jennifer's birthday is October 29, 1967.
She is Jewish.
She has two genres in her music library: pop and punk rock.

She once put "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" right after "Teenage Lobotomy" on a mixtape

She has two little brothers.
She is bisexual.
She pierced Marty's ears sometime in the Spring of '86.
In the Citizen Brown timeline, Jennifer somehow managed to watch Rock n' Roll High School when it came out and based her entire personality around it.

In any timeline, Riff Randell was her bi awakening.

Her two celebrity crushes are Joan Jett and Matthew Broderick.
She graduated Hill Valley High School as her class's Valedictorian.

Marty helped her write her speech.

She gets accepted into Stanford to study law.

Doc

Doc's birthday is August 17, 1914.
He is autistic. His special interests are Jules Verne novels and inventing.
He is asexual.
He's semi-fluent in German mostly from listening to his father. He knows enough for very basic conversation, but nothing more complex than that. He knows all the swear words though.
His uncle Oliver gave him his copy of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea for his 11th birthday.
Emmett adopted his first dog sometime in 1931 after Marty takes Einstein back to 1986 with him. He named the dog Aristarchus.
While he was working on the Manhattan Project, he was stationed at the Berkeley site where the radiation lab was (and where Plutonium was discovered).
Doc taught Marty how to drive.
Doc's bulletproof vest was a predestination paradox much like Goldie Wilson's decision to run for mayor.

Clara

Clara's birthday is October 25, 1885.
She is autistic. Her special interest is astronomy.
She is bisexual (and has probably kissed more girls than Doc has).
When she was a kid, she and her mother would often go on weekend camping trips where she learned many wilderness survival skills from her mother.
Clara was just a rowdy kid in general. She could hardly sit still in a skirt long enough for church or school. Her parents were always sewing patches in her playclothes.
After the family settles in 1986, Clara's wardrobe is pretty much identical to Doc's. They even have matching lab coats

Jules and Verne

They both end up taller than Marty.
Jules' birthday is June 12, 1886.
Verne's birthday is October 29, 1888.
Jules is autistic. His special interest is bugs and insects.
Verne has ADHD.
While they were still living in the 1880s, Verne was best friends with William McFly.
Jules and Verne both love Star Wars when Marty shows it to them.
When they move to 1986 Hill Valley, Jules is 8 and Verne is 6.
Jules graduates class of 1996 as Salutatorian. Verne graduates class of 1998.
Verne learned to skateboard from Marty and is actually pretty good at performing tricks.
Jules is allergic to cats.
While Jules decides to attend college in the 1960s, Verne ultimately decides he wants to live a mostly linear life. He just gets bored with time travel after a certain point.

Other Characters

In the normal timelines, Biff is divorced with partial custody over Tiff and Biff Jr.
Arthur McFly is the youngest of four kids.
George is an only child, but he has several cousins.
Marlene and Spike are girlfriends.
Marlene is trans.
William McFly has two younger brothers and three younger sisters.
Martin McFly (Seamus' brother) actually resembled Dave.
